Estate History
Château Ramafort is a Cru Bourgeois estate located in the northern Médoc of Bordeaux. The estate became notably recognized when it was acquired in 1973 by Domaines Barons de Rothschild (Lafite). During this time, the Rothschild team revitalized the vineyards, improved cellar technology, and elevated the wine’s overall quality.
In 1990, ownership transitioned to Guy Charloux, an experienced Médoc winemaker who continued to modernize and preserve the Rothschild-led improvements. Under Charloux’s care, Ramafort became known for delivering excellent value and age-worthy wines.
